Missions

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

East Grand works with and provides support for two congregations in Nicaragua. In turn, these two congregations provide support in establishing other churches and training them to maturity. In addition, each year, East Grand makes one building and one medical trip to Nicaragua.
The building trips began after Hurricane Mitch destroyed so many homes there in October 1998. The trip usually occurs in August or September and approximately 20 Christians go on the trip. Most of the time, we build homes for the people, other times we build preschools as an outreach of the church.
Each January, a medical mission trip is taken to Nicaragua. These trips began in 1994 and typically 20 East Grand Christians go to serve. Medical and dental clinics are conducted and approximately 5,000 patients in six days are given care by our physicians, dentists and assistants.
Our deacon of missions is Jeremy Stanton, and he would love to talk with you about volunteer and service opportunities.
